"What is opera, anyway?" is 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization designed to bring a comprehensive opera education program straight to you-- to your computer screen and to the classroom.

Our after-school program features the talents of teaching artists and spans topics including Voice Types; Baroque Opera; operas by Italian, French, German, Czech, Russian and Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) Composers; and more (see: schedule for more details). 

Each zoom session is 90 minutes, and in the culminating 30 minutes of each session, participants will learn to sing songs relevant to the session's topic.

Through diverse programming, participants will learn many ways to answer the question: "what is opera, anyway?".
