Meet the Artists
Diana Borshcheva
Praised for her beautiful deep sound, American pianist Diana Borshcheva’s passions lie in both solo and collaborative repertoire. Now in her third year as a collaborative piano fellow at the Bard Conservatory, Ms. Borshcheva has been working with singers for 15 years. In the spring of 2021, Ms. Borshcheva started a series of classical music concerts in Red Hook, NY. Music in Red Hook is the place that provides performances and lessons to enrich cultural life of the community. This summer Ms. Borshcheva was performing at the Tanglewood Music Festival, as well as working as a vocal coach for the production of La Boheme in Steamboat Springs, CO.
Sungyeun Kim
Recognized for her remarkable technique as a coloratura soprano, South-Korean born soprano Sungyeun Kim has performed in concerts at the most illustrious concert halls in South Korea, including Seoul and Sejong Arts Center. Kim enrolled in Bard College Graduate Vocal Arts Program in 2021, and has since appeared as the soprano soloist in Gustav Mahler’s Symphony No. 2 with The Orchestra Now under the direction of Leon Botstein. She also performed the role of the Fox in Janáček’s The Cunning Little Vixen in March 2022 at The Fisher Center at Bard. Teryn Kuzma
Ukrainian-American soprano Teryn Kuzma is a versatile musician of classical, contemporary, and folk repertoire.
Her most recent performances include the title role of “Vixen” in Leoš Janáček’s opera, The Cunning Little Vixen, and soloist in the György Kurtág Festival. She is also a semifinalist for the 2022 MIOpera University Division Vocal Competition. Teryn has been a featured artist with The Lincoln Crossroads Music Festival, Toronto Summer Music Festival, the Ukrainian Art Song Project, and the SongFest Program.
Teryn is also an instrumentalist on the unique 55-stringed bandura, and a founding member of the Women’s Bandura Ensemble of North America.

Francesca Lionetta
Soprano Francesca Lionetta is passionate about performance and opera education. Upcoming engagements include in György Kurtág’s “Messages from the Late Miss R.V. Troussova” and R.Schumann’s “Frauenliebe-und-Leben” for Bard’s Kurtág Festival (February 2023). Performance highlights include Grasshopper and Innkeeper in The Cunning Little Vixen, Amore in Orfeo ed Euridice, and soprano soloist in Handel’s Messiah, in Handel’s Utrecht Te Deum, and in Bach’s Cantata 130. Francesca is the founder of What is Opera, Anyway?, a non-profit opera education program. Francesca holds a BM and an Arts Leadership Certificate from Eastman. Miles Wazni
Miles Wazni is a clarinetist from New Haven, Connecticut and is currently a Junior at Bard College Conservatory of Music. While growing up in New Haven, Miles attended the Morse Summer Academy at the Yale School of Music for 4 consecutive years, where he studied with both YSM graduate students and YSM faculty, held multiple principal positions in a variety of ensembles, and was able to study at The Norfolk Chamber Music Festival. More recently, Miles attended the Young Artist Program at The Curtis Institute of Music, and studied with faculty from Curtis and The Philadelphia Orchestra. Miles was a member of the New Haven Youth Orchestra, as well as a variety of chamber groups with other talented student musicians. Miles also won the New Haven Concerto competition, and performed as a featured soloist with the New Haven Chamber Orchestra. He also was a finalist in the Bard Conservatory Concerto Competition during his first year at Bard. While in New Haven, Miles studied with clarinetist Sam Boutris, and now studies with Pascual Martínez-Forteza and David Krakauer.
